An unknown attacker has stabbed two Israeli police in Jerusalem al-Quds.
Israeli sources say a Palestinian carried out the attack near the Lions Gate in the old city of Jerusalem al-Quds. Both police officers were lightly wounded there. The sources say one of them was injured in the neck and the other one in the hand. The attacker has managed to escape the scene. This comes a day after two Israelis were wounded by a firebomb thrown at their car in the West Bank settlement of Ma'ale Shomron. Israelis and Palestinians are at loggerheads over the recent desecration of al-Aqsa mosque by Israeli settlers, and the expansion of Israeli settlements.
